I've bought and sold 8-9 cars on Craigslist so far, and if anyone even mentions a problem with the title, I'm gone. No way. Not touching it. Thank you, good night.
That guy got lucky.

That's what is frustrating me right now. I've been driving my dad's high mileage 07 DTS for the better part of six months. I bought it to use last summer mostly because it has A/C.
Long story short, I finally have a buyer lined up to come tomorrow. What dad didn't let me know was that OOPS! he can't find the title. Nothing scares off a buyer quite like that.
Thankfully its a one owner car that we have all kinds of receipts and paperwork for, so retrieving its title should be relatively easy.. But another buyer? Yeah.. We'll see..

No kiding. I bought my 97 GSR without title in hand. After three months I still hadn't gotten the title. Thankfull some one was willing to trade me a 97 Accord, for the Integra just as a parts car. Cool thing was I got to drive a GSR for three months with out even registering it, since I had bought it in Minnesota it had the old plates on it. But for all I know it was stolen.
but I will never buy a car without title in hand. You just can't trust people.
